📌 Bone Marrow Lesion Related to Disuse

  • Most prominent 10–25 weeks following immobilization.
  • Subchondral edema-like signal, Dotlike or linear patterns.
  • Involvement of multiple bones in the knee can indicate this diagnosis.

 

✅ Accelerated Bone Remodeling: Destructive Bone Disorders

  • Tumors, inflammation, infection, and fractures.
  • Associated with altered bone remodeling.
  • May lead to lytic, mixed, or sclerotic bone lesions.

 

✅ Angiogenesis and BME-like Signal

  • Associated with structural or reactive bone lesions.
  • Demonstrates BME-like signal on fat-suppressed fluid-sensitive MR images.
  • A spectrum of BME-like changes can be detected:
