MRI Classification of Posterior Medial Meniscal Root Injuries
1. Root Degeneration:
Characterized by thickening of the root with intrasubstance hyperintensity that does not reach the articular surface.
2. Root Partial Tear:
Involves abnormal signal intensity extending to the articular surface or abnormal morphology of the root with partial discontinuity.
3. Root Complete Tear:
Indicates complete discontinuity of the affected root.
