1️⃣ Pseudo-Cyclops Lesion
✅ Definition and Characteristics
- Description: Occasionally, partially torn graft fibers are displaced into the intercondylar notch, mimicking a cyclops lesion. This phenomenon is known as a "pseudo-cyclops lesion."
- Distinguishing Features: Unlike a true cyclops lesion, a pseudo-cyclops lesion involves a portion of the fibers extending into the tibial or femoral tunnels
Skeletal Radiol 2015;44(8):1169–73
2️⃣ Types of Stump Entrapment (SE) Lesions
✅ Type 1 SE Lesion
- Resemblance: The type 1 SE lesion resembles a classic post-operative cyclops lesion.
✅ Type 2 SE Lesion
- Characteristics: Type 2 SE lesions are characterized by a tongue-like free end and angulation of the ACL stump.
- Appearance: Unlike the type 1 lesion, which has a mass-like appearance, the type 2 SE lesion shows the anterior portion of the torn ACL folded upon itself. This results in a thin, tongue-like free end extending anteriorly out of the intercondylar notch.
