📌 Case study: Meniscotibial Ligament Tear

  • Complete proximal tear of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL)
  • Tear of the deep medial collateral ligament meniscotibial ligament at its tibial attachment
  • Thickening and increased signal of the meniscofemoral ligament
  • Posterior root tear of the medial meniscus
  • Suspected entrapment of the short meniscotibial ligament beneath the medial meniscus

  • Tip: Possible reverse Segond fracture if meniscotibial ligament injury is an avulsion
