📌 Segond Fracture

  • Avulsion fracture of anterolateral ligament at tibial insertion
  • Associated with ACL, MCL, medial meniscus, posterolateral corner injuries
  • Seen in around 40% of ACL injuries
  • Indicates anterolateral rotatory instability
  • Commonly occurs with sporting injuries

📌 Reverse Segond Fracture

  • Avulsion of meniscotibial ligament at tibial insertion
  • Associated with PCL, medial meniscus, ACL, MCL injuries
  • Occurs with high-velocity trauma like motor vehicle collisions
  • May be associated with knee dislocation
