📌 Inferior Posteromedial Recess
- Location: Bordered by the meniscotibial ligament and tibial plateau.
- Visibility: Not typically accessible via arthroscopy.
- When the Inferior Posteromedial Recess is filled with joint fluid, it can be mistaken for a Ramp lesion, specifically a Type 3B Ramp lesion.
- Understanding the detailed anatomy of the posterior medial capsule and the meniscotibial ligament is essential to avoid misdiagnosis.
✅ Greif’s Classification of Type 3 Ramp Lesions
- Type 3A: Vertical tear at the inferior margin of the posterior horn.
- Type 3B: Tear of the meniscotibial ligament at the posterior horn attachment.
