📌 Grade 2 MCL Injury: MRI Findings

✅ Key Findings

  • Displacement of ligament fibers from bone
  • High signal edema/hemorrhage around MCL fibers
  • Ligamentous attenuation or fluid separating torn fibers
  • Intraligamentous hyperintensity and thickening
  • Focal or segmental ligament thickening
  • Possible bone contusions

✅ Spectrum of Injury

  • Grade 2 represents a wide range from microscopic to near-complete tears
  • Most heterogeneous and difficult-to-characterize
