1. Wrisberg rip tear
2. Complete radial tear at the meniscus posterior horn and root junction, including meniscofemoral ligament attachment
3. Radial tear sparing the meniscofemoral ligament attachment without associated root stump displacement
4. Radial tear sparing the meniscofemoral ligament attachment with associated root stump displacement
- → Less commonly, the root stump can become inverted into the intercondylar notch, or a T-shaped oblique radial tear (with radial and longitudinal components) may involve the root region
