1️⃣ Graft Infection after ACL Reconstruction
- Graft infection following Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR) is rare, with an incidence rate of 0.1–0.9%.
- These infections are most commonly identified in the early postoperative phase.
2️⃣ MRI Signs of Graft Infection
- Synovitis with Lamellated Synovium: Indicative of inflammation within the synovial membrane.
- Bone Erosion, Periarticular Edema
Bone Erosions of the Tunnels: A loss of cortical hypointensity in the tunnels can be observed, suggesting infection. - Sinus Tract Formation, Abscess Formation
- Periarticular Fascial Edema
- ACL graaft: Focal or diffuse increases in signal intensity on T2-weighted MRI images can indicate fibrinous exudates on the graft surface.
