✅ Grading System for Posterior Oblique LigamentTears

The grading system for POL (Posterior Oblique Ligament) tears is identical to that for MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) tears.

1️⃣ Grade I Injury

  • Definition: A sprain, or grade I injury, is identified when the ligament maintains normal thickness and continuity, but is surrounded by edema.

2️⃣Grade II Injury

  • Definition: A partial tear, or grade II injury, occurs when there is ligament thickening and partial fiber disruption accompanied by increased surrounding edema and hemorrhage.

3️⃣ Grade III Injury

  • Definition: A complete tear, or grade III injury, is evident when no fibers remain intact.
