📌Posteromedial corner injury

  • PMC injuries are more commonly associated with other injuries that dominate the clinical picture, which may obscure or mask the presence of PMC injuries.

✅Common Associated Injuries

  • O’Donoghue’s Triad: Involves injuries to the ACL, Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL), and medial meniscus.
  • PCL Injury: Often occurs alongside PMC injuries.
  • Combined ACL and PCL Injury: A significant injury pattern that can include damage to the PMC.
  • Isolated MCL Injury: Frequently associated with PMC injuries.
  • In the setting of a possible multiligamentous or medial-sided injury, a high index of suspicion for a PMC injury must be maintained;
  • complete tear of the  superficial MCL.
