🔴 Meniscocapsular Separation

🔹Disruption of capsular attachment of meniscus, in trauma, with irregularity, and increased signal intensity within meniscofemoral or coronary ligament on T2WI.

🔹Tear of the supporting meniscotibial (coronary) or meniscofemoral ligaments typically at the attachment to the meniscus

🔹In comparison to the medial side, the lateral meniscus has a looser attachment to the lateral capsule. When fluid accumulates, these lateral attachments may expand outward, a condition that should not be mistaken for a tear.
