1️⃣ PCL Tibial Attachment Anatomy and Bundle Locations

➡️ AL and PM Bundle Locations in the PCL

  • The AL bundle is located in the superolateral aspect of the footprint.
  • The PM bundle is in the inferomedial aspect of the PCL footprint.
  • The most posterolateral aspect of the medial meniscus root typically marks the most anterior portion of the PCL.

2️⃣ ALB and PMB of the PCL: Tibial Attachments

➡️ Tibial Attachment Area and Characteristics

  • The ALB's tibial attachment area is 88 mm^2, bordered medially and posteriorly by the PMB.
  • The PMB's tibial attachment area is approximately 105 mm^2 and more compact than the ALB, fanning out at its attachment.

3️⃣ Tibial Bony Landmarks for PCL

➡️ Key Landmarks Identified on Lateral Radiographs

  • The champagne-glass drop-off marks the transitional zone to the popliteus muscle.
  • The bundle ridge separates the tibial attachment site of the ALB and PMB.
